The meeting focused on the appeal being made on the issues of rejected refugee applications and impending repatriation of a majority of The Church of Almighty God's Christians that had fled to Europe. It is also the first time that a news conference on the persecution of The Church of Almighty God was held in the Roman Chamber of Deputies. The Church of Almighty God Christians Ring in the New Year With French Friends

On February 18, 2018, precisely during a traditional Chinese holiday—Spring Festival—Christians from The Church of Almighty God in France held a New Year’s celebration with the theme of “gratitude” in the parish activity center of the Saint-Germain Church in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris. This was the first local New Year’s event hosted by these Christians since being forced to flee to France after suffering brutal oppression by the Chinese government. They wanted to use this opportunity to extend their thanks to their French friends who had helped them and shown their concern. The event also provided an excellent platform for those in attendance to further understand the truth of the persecution of Christians from The Church of Almighty God by the Chinese government.

Western Scholars vs CCP Representatives at the UN in Geneva About The Church of Almighty God

On March 1, 2018, during the 37th session of the Human Rights Council at the United Nations in Geneva, the Coordination of the Associations and Individuals for Freedom of Conscience (CAP LC) organized a Side Event on the denial of religious freedom in China and the case of The Church of Almighty God (CAG). A panel of international scholars and human rights and freedom of religion experts discussed the dramatic situation of the members of The Church of Almighty God both in China, where they are severely persecuted, and in South Korea and Europe, where their requests for asylum are often denied. During the event, there was a debate between the western scholars and CCP representatives of the Chinese delegation…

Testimony of Experiences of the CCP’s Brutal Persecution Given by Christian Zeng Qing

She accepted the kingdom gospel of Almighty God in 1997. In 2008, she was arrested by the Chinese police due to her faith in God and suffered their torture for one and a half months. Subsequently, she was sentenced to two years of re-education through labor on the trumped-up charge of “disrupting social order.” She had been kept under the Chinese police’s surveillance and investigation after release upon completion of her imprisonment term. Eventually, she was forced to live in exile …

Massimo Introvigne: The Church of Almighty God Is a Typical Victim of Black Propaganda and Fake News

Professor Massimo Introvigne, the founder and director of Center for Studies on New Religions and the chairman of Italy's Observatory of Religious Liberty, spoke at the international conference on Religious Persecution and the Human Rights of Refugees held in Seoul, South Korea on October 23, 2017. He said that the Christians in The Church of Almighty God have been subjected to clear and flagrant religious persecution, and even torture. However, their status as refugees has not been recognized by civilized countries such as South Korea, and one of the critical reasons for that is that the black propaganda and fake news from the Chinese Communist Party and some Christian groups regarding The Church of Almighty God have had a negative impact. The Church of Almighty God is a typical victim of this kind of black propaganda and fake news. Professor Introvigne called on human rights organizations, the press, as well as experts and scholars on emerging religious movements and in the humanitarian realm to work to reveal the truth.

Repatriating Chinese Christians: Acting as Accomplices of the CCP to Abuse Human Rights

On January 16, 2018, Human Rights Without Frontiers International published an article, urgently calling on EU member states and South Korea to provide political asylum to Christians of The Church of Almighty God. The article said, not one of more than 600 Christians of The Church of Almighty God fleeing to South Korea obtained refugee status and 178 face repatriation. This incident has caused great concern of many international human rights organizations and religious experts and scholars. Recently, Do Heeyoun, a human rights activist from South Korea visited The Church of Almighty God in the United States and made a comment on the crisis of religious refugees' asylum in Korea.

Conference by FOB Pushing Forward Improvement to Laws in Europe and Protection of Freedom of Belief

Since the Chinese Communist Party came into power, it has been oppressing religious beliefs and frantically arresting and persecuting Christians. In recent years, some Chinese Christians have been forced to flee overseas because of their faith. However, their asylum applications are denied in Western countries, especially some in Europe, as the authorities of these countries do not acknowledge the fact that these Christians have been subjected to persecution, and they are in danger of being deported back to China. Carlos Iglesias, a senior Spanish human rights lawyer, comments on the egregious human rights situation in China, as well as its status quo of religious persecution. Regarding the exiled Chinese Christians being denied political asylum, Mr. Iglesias appeals to the authorities of Western countries to act with caution, saying "when they grant or deny this asylum, what is at stake is that person's life."

#6 The CCP Never Abandons Its Desire to Enact Article 23 of the Basic Law of HK - Massimo Introvigne

On November 20–21, 2017, in just two days, seventeen reports attacking The Church of Almighty God (CAG) were published intensively on Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, the mouthpiece media of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Hong Kong (HK), citing the rumors and fallacies consistently fabricated by the CCP to discredit and condemn the CAG. In one of the reports, it was emphasized that though HK residents have freedom of religious belief, cults must be banned. Some analysts pointed out that it is closely related to the CCP’s desire to enact Article 23 of the Basic Law of HK. Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), makes comment on this.

Eastern Lightning _ Willy Fautré: South Korea Should Give Refugee Status to Asylum Seekers of The Church of Almighty God

Eastern Lightning | Willy Fautré: South Korea Should Give Refugee Status to Asylum Seekers of The Church of Almighty God

Willy Fautré: South Korea is a democratic country, like all the members of the European Union, like the United States and many others. So, they should abide by international law. They have signed and ratified a number of international standards. And, they should not send back those 150 people of The Church of Almighty God to China. I think they want to be blind and to be deaf, not to see and not to hear anything that is written and spread around about the situation of The Church of Almighty God. We’ve already sent a message to the South Korean authorities, saying, “Please don’t send them back to China, or you’ll send them to jail, or maybe death.”

Eastern Ligntning | Willy Fautré: EU Members Should Stop Repatriating Asylum Seekers From The Church of Almighty God

Mr. Willy Fautré: And it was time to deconstruct the negative impact and effect of the fake news of China, to reveal the reality in order to be able to convince the authorities of the countries where they’re looking for a safe haven that they should be accepted as politically persecuted Christians and that they should be granted a safe haven in all the countries where they apply for asylum. And, that’s what we are now in the process of. So, convincing not only public opinions, but also decision-makers, political decision makers, and others that those people are peaceful, they don’t present any threat to the State security or to human security in any country where they are. They’ve not committed any act of violence. But, if they are sent back to China, they will be victims of such violence. So, that’s the process that we’re engaging in.

Christian Video | Chronicles of Religious Persecution | "Who Forced Her to the End of the Road?"

Since it came to power in mainland China in 1949, the Chinese Communist Party has been relentless in its persecution of religious faith. It has frantically arrested and murdered Christians, expelled and abused missionaries operating in China, confiscated and destroyed countless copies of the Bible, sealed up and demolished church buildings, and vainly attempted to eradicate all house churches. This documentary film tells the story of Gao Yufeng, a Christian in mainland China, who was arrested by the CCP police and subject to all kinds of inhuman torture that finally led to her suicide in the labor camp for believing in God and performing her duty. The film truly reflects the heinous abuses and inhumane persecution suffered by Christians in post-arrest incarceration under the CCP's evil rule, exposing the demonic essence of CCP's hatred of God and slaughter of Christians.

In 2014, the CCP arbitrarily fabricated the notorious 5/28 Zhaoyuan Incident in Shandong Province to create the basis of public opinion for total suppression of house churches, and propagated falsehood globally to condemn and defame the Church of Almighty God. As a result, some unwitting parties who did not know the truth were deceived by the CCP's propaganda. In this program, several major doubts revolving around this case will be revealed to dissect the lies of the CCP one by one and clarify the facts for you, and utterly expose the truth behind the Shandong Zhaoyuan Incident before the world.

Thousands of members of the Church of Almighty God (CAG) have been incarcerated in China, following a further crackdown on unauthorized religious organizations. According to the rough statistics, more than 300,000 members of CAG were incarcerated and detained in China from the beginning of the persecutions in the 1990s to 2017. Many have been tortured and at least 30 died in custody in suspicious circumstances, according to a report just released by CAG and published by several human rights organizations internationally (see eg, http://www.cesnur. org/2017/almighty_china_report.pdf ). In the last few days, we have seen unprecedented media attacks against CAG published simultaneously in Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, which seem to be an answer to the publication of this report.
