#10 The CCP Claims the Conditions of Religion in China Are Favorable. Massimo Introvigne: NOT True
In 2017, from June 24 to 28, and from September 14 to 15, the Chinese Communist Party had held two international anti-cult academic conferences successively in Henan and Hong Kong. In a subsequent Chinese official report, it reads, “Experts express that from this research study, sufficient understanding has been gained on China’s religious and anti-cult policies, dispelling previous misunderstanding about the issues of cults in China. At the same time, the conditions of religious belief in China are observed to be favorable. The grassroots’ freedom of belief is well protected.” Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), who was invited to both conferences, debunks the report as follows.

#9 The Church of Almighty God’s Members Entitled to Refugee Status in S. Korea - Massimo Introvigne
On November 20–21, 2017, in just two days, seventeen reports attacking The Church of Almighty God (CAG) were published intensively on Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, the mouthpiece media of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Hong Kong (HK), citing the rumors and fallacies consistently fabricated by the CCP to discredit and condemn the CAG. The reports also described at length the development of the CAG in South Korea. They claimed that the CAG had been condemned as a “cult” in Korea, and that the Korean government should not grant refugee status to Christians of the CAG. Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), makes comment on this.

The reports, by quoting a few pastors’ senseless accusations that the CAG is responsible for the loss of the members of their churches, intended to incite the public and religious groups to go against and convict the CAG. Upon this, Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), makes comments as follows.

Massimo Introvigne | Part 1 : How Chinese Regime Persecutes Christians—Lies and Violence
As is well known, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seized power through lies and violence, and it relies on lies and violence to maintain its power. The CCP’s rule is nothing but lies, violence, and murder. The CCP propagates atheism, regarding religion as the spiritual opium of the people. Christians preach the gospel and witness for God to carry out God’s will, but the CCP condemns such righteous deeds as abandoning and breaking up their families, and arrests and imprisons Christians on various false charges. In mainland China, Christians from various house churches, particularly from CAG, suffer brutal oppression and persecution for the sake of their religious belief, some of whom were left disabled or died. Many Christians have gone into exile and were rendered homeless with their families scattered. Countless Christian families have been thus broken! In this episode, we have invited Professor Massimo Introvigne, an Italian scholar of new religious movements, founder and managing director of Center for Studies on New Religions, to talk about why the CCP oppresses and persecutes The Church of Almighty God, whether the CCP’s accusations against The Church of Almighty God are true, and who is the main culprit behind the breakdown of Christian families, and so on. The truth will be uncovered, and the CCP’s cruel and evil essence against God that wins fame through deceiving the public and fights against justice will be exposed. Please stay tuned!

Eastern Lightning | Willy Fautré: South Korea Should Give Refugee Status to Asylum Seekers of The Church of Almighty God
Willy Fautré: South Korea is a democratic country, like all the members of the European Union, like the United States and many others. So, they should abide by international law. They have signed and ratified a number of international standards. And, they should not send back those 150 people of The Church of Almighty God to China. I think they want to be blind and to be deaf, not to see and not to hear anything that is written and spread around about the situation of The Church of Almighty God. We’ve already sent a message to the South Korean authorities, saying, “Please don’t send them back to China, or you’ll send them to jail, or maybe death.”

Xie Jiao, a Concept Manipulated to Attack The Church of Almighty God in HK - Massimo Introvigne
A Manipulative Concept: Xie Jiao - Massimo Introvigne From November 20 to November 21, 2017, Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, two mouthpieces of the Chinese Communist Party in Hong Kong, released 17 reports intensively to attack The Church of Almighty God, all in a span of two days. These reports cited the rumors and fallacies the CCP always uses to slander and condemn The Church of Almighty God, among which “cult” is the word of the highest frequency. As to this word the CCP uses to condemn the church, Professor Massimo Introvigne, a sociologist from Italy, the founder and director of the Center for Studies on New Religions, who has attended two international anti-cult academic conferences held by the CCP, will make his remarks in this episode.

Eastern Ligntning | Willy Fautré: EU Members Should Stop Repatriating Asylum Seekers From The Church of Almighty God
Mr. Willy Fautré: And it was time to deconstruct the negative impact and effect of the fake news of China, to reveal the reality in order to be able to convince the authorities of the countries where they’re looking for a safe haven that they should be accepted as politically persecuted Christians and that they should be granted a safe haven in all the countries where they apply for asylum. And, that’s what we are now in the process of. So, convincing not only public opinions, but also decision-makers, political decision makers, and others that those people are peaceful, they don’t present any threat to the State security or to human security in any country where they are. They’ve not committed any act of violence. But, if they are sent back to China, they will be victims of such violence. So, that’s the process that we’re engaging in.
