Desolation of the Church, Weakness and Confusion
Amy didn’t believe in the Lord until after she came to the United States for work. The first few years after gaining her faith, no matter how tired she was from work, every Sunday Amy would go to mass without fail and listen earnestly to the priests’ sermons. She felt the Lord’s love with her heart, and she and her church friends helped and supported each other, just like a family. But as time passed, Amy gradually discovered that the sermons were full of platitudes and over and over, it was the same biblical knowledge and theology with no new illumination.
