XVII. Questions and Answers on Why the True Way Is Subject to Persecution

Question 1: I don’t understand, if Eastern Lightning is the true way, then why would it be strongly opposed by the CCP government? Why would religious leaders also furiously condemn it? It’s not like pastors and elders have not been persecuted by the CCP government. But when it comes to Eastern Lightning, how come the pastors and elders who serve God can have the same view and attitude as the CCP government? Just what is the reason behind this?

Answer: The Bible says: “… the whole world lies in wickedness” (1Jn 5:19). The Lord Jesus also said, this is an evil generation (Luk 11: 29). Then just what is the extent of this world’s darkness and evil? In the Age of Grace, for the sake of redeeming mankind, the Lord Jesus in the flesh was crucified by the religious circles and rulers of the time. In the last days, Almighty God expressing truths and judging mankind has also been met with the condemnation and resistance of religious circles and the CCP government, and rejected by this era.

Christian Wang Dongdong's Account of His Experience of the CCP's Cruel Persecution

Wang Dongdong started to believe in the Lord Jesus along with his parents since he was little. In 2001, his whole family accepted Almighty God’s kingdom gospel. In 2011, his elder brother was arrested because of believing in God. Wang Dongdong and his parents were forced to flee their home. In 2012 when he was in exile, he heard the news that his mother passed away due to sickness while hiding from the hunting of the police.
